I tried publishing my 1st novel when I was 12yo. It took a few years...but my 3d, HER DAUGHTER, will be published in Jan 2026 by Black Rose Writing. (in between I wrote 8 nonfiction books, won awards, wrote a lot for newspapers & magazines etc)
#Reading dilemma: I'm halfway thru #RobertCaro's "The Path to Power" (Volume 1 of the LBJ series). Do I finish the remaining 400 pp? Or do I read 2 novels in the time those pp would take?#BookSky

#BookSky A #book about 1 sentence? Well, #walteri.bksky spoke tonite @ the #NYHistorical & his newest has a lot to say re: the 1st sentence of the Dec of Independence (Example: Jefferson wrote "sacred," Franklin edited it to "self-evident") But I still don't forgive #Isaacson fawning over #ElonMusk

Just saw the movie #Nuremberg. Excellent acting & important themes but the problem w/ fictionalized #history is that you don't know which parts to believe. I think I'll stick w/ documentaries from now on #BookSky #writingcommunity

#local #indie #bookstores are my 1st choice but of course I'm gonna applaud that the #barnesandnoble.com near me has reopened. The more (nonAmazon) places to buy #books, the better! (Also, indie bookstore mgrs have told me they see BN as an ally against Amazon) #BookSky What do you say?

Walked along the #HudsonRiver 3.5 mi from the #Verrazano Bridge to Owl's Head Park & now that I've read both "The Island at the Center of the World" & "Taking Manhattan" by #RussellShorto, I can picture Henry Hudson & also Richard Nicolls sailing up the river toward #Manhattan #booksky #history #nyc
