Filoni kind of reminds me of JJ Abrams. JJ being the diet Spielberg, technical prowess but w/nothing to say (unlike Spielberg)

Filoni wants to be George but won’t move past one specific and narrow time frame and characters. He doesn’t seem particularly creative. Where George was all creativity.
