Fans of Richard Russo & Fredrik Backman will love I SEE YOU'VE CALLED IN DEAD by John Kenney. Bud Stanley is a man who thinks he wants to give up, but w/help from friends, stumbles on. One of the funniest opening chapters I've ever read. Great bk club choice. #LibFaves25 Day 8 💙📚

Been counting the days until CLOWN TOWN drops & I can finally discuss it, because, what a book. I fervently hope I get to see Mick Herron in person someday. In the meantime, this interview will have to do. I especially like his explanation of why poets are such good writers of prose.
