Not a good photo at all due to distance but we finally found the “silver” wood duck on Oakland Lake this morning. It was hanging with 9 other wood ducks. I’m still recovering from an appendectomy so I’m delighted to do even limited birding. #Birds #birdwatching #Queens #nyc

I haven’t posted here in a bit as I had my appendix out a week ago, and was recovering. I’m hoping to get back to limited nature walks/photography over Thanksgiving (with the help of a tripod and my husband as I can’t lift anything). I’m enjoying reading everyone’s posts in the interim!

I haven’t posted here in a bit as I had my appendix out a week ago, and was recovering. I’m hoping to get back to limited nature walks/photography over Thanksgiving (with the help of a tripod and my husband as I can’t lift anything). I’m enjoying reading everyone’s posts in the interim!
