One of the more interesting images from the NTSB report on the Titan submersible implosion.

Imagine you work in data recovery. You've got data off devices dropped from heights, driven over, immersed in water, lightly incinerated... then someone from NTSB rocks up and leaves this with you...

"The NTSB laboratory received a large electronic and metallic mass from the United States Coast Guard on November 13, 2023. The NTSB was working on behalf of the USCG. The mass was transported in plastic storage container. The mass weighed approximately 100 lbs. The mass was a compilation of compressed metal, compressed plastic, compressed electronic components and compressed other materials. The mass exhibited signs of thermal damage without typical signatures of having been exposed to open flame. A section of the mass contained polar fleece material."

A quick #battletech project completed: a devastator painted up in the colours of the 14th Skye Rangers, a unit which the merc company is impersonating in a time of war campaign i am playing in (but since they are doing it for lyran high command, is it really "impersonating"?)

Keep reading "to cool equipment". Not the reactor..
The reactors are a 3 loop system: the reactors are a classic double closed loop, and uses a HRSG to close the second loop. It's cooled by a 3rd loop, which exchanges with the canals
Also note that original heat was due to the non-nuke, unit 1 and 2

They were built as a precaution against waste heat While they were constructed, tech improved & ended up redundant. now it serves through its environmental value: if it wasn't there, the salt plume would still happen, because it was saltland Marsh, and the aquifer extraction exceeds its refresh rate

Yep, see, doesn't mention that the cooling in the canals hasn't ever been actual reactor cooling.
Repeatedly implies there is a radiological risk (from natural sources)
It is actually more valid to say "overabstaction to support florida golf courses cause a salinity plume threat to drinking water"

impressive scary story Somehow never mentions that the canals are never actually used for cooling & are in fact a big artificial wetland critical to conservation of florida's ecosystem (see the excellent youtu.be/EPeT3LMU_BQ?...)
Does say three times "tritium" wo mentioning its rainwater in origin
