Ever feel like an outsider? Here’s wisdom from #TheArtofCommunity: Begin an activity you love and invite others. Stop looking to be included and create your own space.

I’m 21 days into a 30 day TikTok challenge to get over my nerves of being on camera and the sound of my voice. What I’ve learned is that I may not have been as bad as I had earlier perceived. That feels good

I’m fairly excited! The city head of Arts & Culture has reached out to arrange a sit down to discuss the success of my Maker Group on FB. This is another step closer to bringing the Makerspace to reality. #missionmakerspace

I’m truly enjoying “The Art of Community “ by Charles Vogl. I’m not sure how to set up informative posts about what I’m leaning. If you’re a regular content creator on Bluesky or X would it be out of line to ask for some guidance? If you know someone who is excellent at this skill please share it.

On Monday I begin reading The Art of Community by Charles Vogl.

If you have any book recommendations on building community share them below.

This is such a sweet 4-minute BBC documentary -- about a tiny bookmobile, three wheeler, serving remote villages in Italy. www.bbc.com/culture/arti... #LibrarySky #documentaries

Hey everyone! I was never great at using Twitter, so I’m sure that’ll carry over here too.

I have a stack of community themed books on on my TBR. It’s time to start!

I’ll share lessons and highlights as I go. Feel free to check in, ask questions, or share your thoughts—I’d love to learn together!

Hello to everyone! As you’ve seen I’ve experimented and created a few posts. I never fully utilized Twitter. I’d like to ask how each of you hope or plan to use Bluesky to further your goals and missions.

Just spent a fantastic weekend in Gibsons, BC, focusing on family. Sometimes stepping away from purpose-driven projects to nurture family bonds is just as important. Here are some snapshots from the gathering.

Whenever I’m on platforms like Twitter, TikTok, or YouTube, 90% of business content is about making millions. I’m looking for stories of people who’ve found success by following a purpose beyond just money. Success isn’t only measured in $$. #PurposeOverProfit #RealSuccessStories

Great meeting with the city’s head of art & culture. Key idea: start our maker community using school facilities like Hatzic Middle’s wood shop & sewing lab before getting our own space. Excited to activate these underutilized areas! #Communitybuilding #MakerspaceJourney

Great news from my meeting with the director of forestry! Shared my vision for the makerspace, and it looks like we might get excess wood from the city’s tree farming permit. Plus, gained a new supporter for our project. #makerspacejourney

I have to scale back my initial makerspace vision, it hurts, but then I got a call from local leaders showing full support! Starting small with a laser engraver/cutter - a modest but strategic beginning. Here's to growth and community-driven progress!

Sooo. I might be a little neurodivergent. I open the dishwasher to put the breakfast dishes in. My wife has loving started to fill the dishwasher. There’s utensils inserted into the holder some upside down, some down side up. Things are not where they’re supposed be! 😂😂
