Ooh it'll be fun to watch the anime before reading then! The only problem is it's like 50 episodes XD They made some changes by adding 2 anime-only characters (that some people were not too happy about) but imho the anime helped to bring the setting and worldbuilding to life really well 😊

Funnily enough I watched the anime around the same time as Fushigi Yuugi (another isekai that has similar influences) and the sheer difference between the two 😂 I love both for completely different reasons but also the common link is the intriguing worldbuilding based on chinese mythology!

"Blinded by Light" is probably in the top 3 for "FF battle themes with the most arrangements".
