It looks like the GOP’s plan to pass their voter suppression bill, the so-called “Save America Act”, is to force a talking filibuster (they apparently lack the votes to nuke it altogether). For those who keep telling me the Act is “DOA” in the Senate, why are u confident this won’t work for them? 1/

Right. Dems can also make it tough on Reps during a filibuster by forcing the Reps to maintain a quorum of Sens on the floor. One famous example in 1988 of Dems' failed attempt to thwart Reps' use of that tactic to maintain filibuster of campaign finance legislation: www.senate.gov/about/office...

This government needs to discuss Cuba policy urgently because it could blow up very badly for everybody if Trump and Rubio successfully choke off all the Venezuelan oil. Rubio could be the dog that finally caught the car -- and he has no plan for what to do the day after. 1/
Cuba is the ultimate manifestation of the Pottery Barn Rule. If they destabilize the govt & can’t rebuild the economy quickly, then they will face a tsunami of migration that will make the MASSIVE 1980 Mariel Boatlift look like a picnic. Rubio’s dream is Miller’s greatest nightmare. This is no joke!
