Everyone knew the “Big Listen” was nothing of the sort. They listened to the bits they wanted to hear and conveniently ignored the rest. Tone deaf
How exciting! I am starting to get nervous about it now but also excited. I actually need to contact them myself as looking through the dates of the in person Saturdays, it appears to clash with the CAS Conference in Birmingham that I’m due to present research & co-run a workshop at!!!😫

Loving spending time back in Ireland in my “Happy Place” for the last week. Home really is “Where the heart is!” My favourite thing was listening my 16 yr old developing a hint of a Cork accent after spending time with her cousins, makes my heart happy ❤️
Summer holidays-the only time I get to read for pleasure. Read this awesome book in an afternoon @ellemcnicoll.bsky.social Made me laugh & cry & gave me just a little insight into my daughters world. An afternoon well spent
Summer hols have officially started! You’ll find me here until I am wrinkly like a prune!
Super satisfying job done before breaking up for summer @threebridgessch.bsky.social All my iPads and Chromebooks relabelled and trollies labelled. All displays down, surfaces cleared and everything ready for first day back! I am officially doing ZERO school work over the summer hols.
Can’t believe we have another FULL WEEK to go before we break up for Summer! Voting for a 2 week half term in October seemed like a great idea at the time, however having to make up the days now and dragging myself to the end of term is not the one! Literally cannot keep my eyes open this afternoon

Struggling with a whole week still left to go. Found these pics on my phone & reminded of why I love my job so much. Baby bird fell out of its nest, I put it in a box & brought it inside, when I came back out the kids had built it a nest on the ground until it could get back to its mum! 🥹 🥰
You are welcome back any time @threebridgessch.bsky.social
Wonderful workshops. Great to see you again
My KS1 kiddos love this. A nice easy lesson to leave for a supply teacher too!
Where in Brentford? And is it clean/safe? I’m not far from there and would love a swim!
A fab day of Robotics workshops in Y1-3 courtesy of our good friend @eatsleepictrepeat.bsky.social and @eduthingltd.bsky.social . Throughly recommended, educational and fun, the children loved them. Can’t wait to welcome him back next year @threebridgessch.bsky.social
Living with a chronic illness/invisible disability is so tiring. Simple things like journies by public transport, deep cleaning my house, helping redecorate my daughters room…lead to a massive flare up. Curled up in bed with a hot water bottle dosed up on painkillers. #endometriosis #adenomyosis

One of the biggest acts of vandalism by the Conservative government was the getting rid of Sure Start centres. This is welcome news and definitely a step in the right direction
Great to see you again too! It really was a great day. I enjoyed being involved in the TICE session, presenting my research project, made some great contacts and learned a lot! Looking forward to Birmingham in October
Enlightening day at the CAS Conference @kingscollegelondon.bsky.social Made some good contacts and presented my research project.
I’m part of the TICE crew presenting our teacher research projects this afternoon.I’m very much Primary focussed, sitting here listening to the Keynote speaker and it’s totally beyond me! No idea what he’s on about!!!! But made a great contact for when I move back to Ireland so worth coming for that
Just arrived at the venue for the Computing At Schools Conference today! Wow! If this is what King’s College is all about, I can’t wait to start my MA next year!!
Today we welcomed our new friends from Wolf Fields Primary to @threebridgessch.bsky.social for a “Computing Challenge Day”. The children worked in mixed teams to complete green screen, animation and physical computing challenges. It was such an enjoyable day and we can’t wait to do it again!
Today was a day where I feel super grateful to do what I do! I helped to sort out an issue with a boy who really struggles to make good choices & later in the day he came to show me an awesome piece of work he had done! Then I took Y3 Kayaking, fun in the sun taking in nature on our doorstep.
Someone at work today told me that my nails bring them joy! The kids always ask what I’ve got on my nails today. Well this week it’s rainbows to celebrate the month that’s in it and if that spreads joy, then so be it!
Yes, we need them to start young and really understand what AI is (and isn’t) and how it works. They need to be critical thinkers and not just mindless consumers. It’s a massive part of online safety and digital literacy now.
