Halfbrick is teasing a new feature for Halfbrick+ - collectible cards that seem to be tied to exclusive rewards.

Also comes with a tease of new stuff for Jetpack Joyride Racing, like characters and racetracks. This game will be the first to integrate cards.
Halfbrick+ Cards. Collected by all. Approved by Barry!

Despite being with the rest of official music, this Jetpack Joyride remix is unofficial. The reason it ended up here seems to be that when the remix was published on Spotify, its creator decided to credit Halfbrick by adding them as another author. YouTube, of course, thinks HB MADE it as a result.
[Trivia]
For Jetpack Joyride's Ghostbusters crossover, Peter, Ray, Egon, and Winston were all planned to be playable, sprites of their heads being complete inside the files. They were most likely replaced by Dr. Barry Buster, and with contract expired two years ago, they are not likely to be used.
[Trivia]
Monster Dash for Halfbrick+ has an offline leaderboard with nearly every name being a reference to Halfbrick's character or a developer.

The plot summary given was "A team of misfits are recruited to become Fruit Ninjas in order to save the world." Very vague, to the point that it's unclear if Sensei and any of his students were going to appear or if it's a completely new story unrelated to Fruitasia.
[Trivia] (1/2)
A movie adaptation of Fruit Ninja was announced back in 2016. It was set to be a live-action family comedy, with New Line Cinema and Vinson Films handling the production.

It's been almost a decade since then, so it's safe to say it was cancelled long ago.
Which of these sounds most fitting to you as a reason?
1)The story must go on without end/Dan knowing how to beat it.
2)Ana's dialogue didn't make a lot of sense, since she deliberately impeded Dan's process. She knew what she did.
3)Dan said "balls". Petty if true.
[Spoilers for DTM]
Stage 6 ending for Dan The Man is different between the uploads: In StudioJoho's OG upload, Ana reveals how to complete the game (getting married to Josie). In Halfbrick's reupload, it's changed to "Are you a girl irl?" joke. The marriage plot seems to have been retconned since.
[Trivia]
"Welcome To Fruit Ninja", the main theme from Fruit Ninja, was initially named "Welcome to Fruitasia" when it was uploaded with the other FN music on June 17, 2021. It was reuploaded under its current name on November 16, though Spotify and Apple Music call it "Welcome, Fruit Ninja".

The iconic world of Masters of the Universe™ is arriving in Jetpack Joyride, on July 30 for an epic limited-time crossover! ▶ halfbrick.link/YTJJxMOTU
The powers of Eternia join the chaos with 5 legendary costumes, 4 powerful jetpacks, and 3 iconic vehicles including Battle Cat and the Power Sword.

A new release happened on Android recently: Monster Dash Lite/Free. For all means and purposes, this is a 2020 remaster, because the original app reverted back to the 2010 version for Halfbrick+ two years ago. Not available on iOS yet.

Dunno why this took two years to happen, but I'm glad.
[News]
A crossover event with the Masters of the Universe series is coming to Jetpack Joyride soon. The event was announced through the in-game newsletter and teases He-Man, Skeletor, and more MOTU characters.
[Trivia]
The 2012 trailer for Jetpack Joyride's PlayStation Minis port is heavily based on the original trailer. In fact, the audio heard during the gameplay portion is unchanged. The trailer does try to hide this by recreating the footage from the original through the PlayStation port.

This had to do with Mana Bar, a cocktail bar in Brisbane that ran from 2010 to 2015. Yahtzee founded it with Guy "Yug" Blomberg (who is also credited) and Shay Leighton. The bar was used by some developers to promote their upcoming games, Raskulls being among them.
[Trivia] (1/2)
Raskulls gives special thanks to Ben Croshaw aka "Yahtzee" of Zero Punctuation (now Fully Ramblomatic) fame in it's credits, as he was a part of the focus testing for the game.

Ben didn't review the game himself, but the Escapist website had one by John Funk, who spoke positively.
A closer look at the Barry Steakfries plush. Image is from Halfbrick+ app's "Today" newsletter.

Also, Youtooz themselves only just acknowledged this plush on their website. It drops on July 7.
[News]
Halfbrick Studios teases a Youtooz plush (not a figure, plush!) of Barry Steakfries.
Even though Youtooz themselves haven't made any posts about it yet, this is a serious announcement. This is the first physical merch since... 2019 board game?
The only mission Barry couldn't dodge: becoming cute.
I'll admit that I screwed up. Thank you for clarification.

That said, without the provided information, it definitely felt like certain Wikipedia editors confused a few things, while other editors didn't find any citations and got confused themselves. What a mess this topic was to try and research.

Also, somebody should check on Sunset Studio: Behind the Scenes!, because it's the one game that Wikipedia still lists as a Halfbrick-developed game but I don't believe this claim. WildTangent Games site claims some studio called GameHouse did it, not Halfbrick.

When Halfbrick celebrated their 15th anniversary back in 2016, it was Avatar, Marvel, and Star Wars specifically that they acknowledged working on before going independent. This PC port was the thing they were referencing, and Spyro and Hellboy were not mentioned, so... you get the point.
[2/4]
That said, one game got into crossfire... Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Republic Heroes. It lacked citation, and was soon removed. Krome also developed it, but Halfbrick was there... just for the PC version. Xbox 360 version doesn't list them and I assume same's the case for other versions.
[1/4]
Thanks to a Wikipedia article on Halfbrick Studios, there was (and still is) some misinformation on what licensed games they made. Hellboy: The Science of Evil and The Legend of Spyro both used to be listed, but they aren't HB's games - fellow Aussie developer Krome was responsible for them.
