Well problem is you are using the wrong terms. Biden was not a moderate he was a right winger. It just effects of Trump were as the GOP has moved Far Right so someone like Biden looks like he is a moderate. Compare Bidens/Obama/Clinton economic policies to Reegan and see it slowly creep right.
