Dick Cheney serves as a reminder that standard GOP strategy is anti-democratic, based on controlling the least populated states, thereby manipulating the electoral college and the Senate.

Had Cheney lived and run for office in even a mid-sized state, I doubt we'd have heard of him at all.

In a similar vein, last night I watched the Netflix documentary "Sunday Best." Ed Sullivan's progressivism and his unrelenting drive to platform black artists and show business personalities on his famous show gave many their first national exposure to white audiences.

Every company in America with employees on SNAP should be seen and treated the same way we treat deadbeat dads.

They should be shamed, prosecuted, garnished, and held to account.

Their corporate taxes should reflect a dollar more tax for every dollar a SNAP recipient gets.

When we become unwilling to bow and scrape to the unscrupulous, we will be on the threshold of holding them accountable, seizing the initiative, and solving poverty, bankrutping them, or both.

I'm not a NY'er, and I'm registered Independent, but Mamdani gives me hope that we can move past the Democratic Party toward a "People's Party."

MSM routinely platforms liars in the name of a falsified "objectivity."

This is a gross disservice to the public, especially when the medium is television. Airing repeated lies tends to cause non-critical (non-contemplative) listeners to believe them.

I recommend this little gem by Princeton philosophy professor Harry Frankfurt, in which he argues that eradicating inequality is not a valuable or morally defensible goal.

Rather, we must reframe the effort in terms of eliminating poverty.

We must demonstrate that wealth hoarders cause poverty.
