Throw ashes and forgive them.

Amazingly, this works. I wrote to my father, who died when I was 11. I sometimes hate and get angry at him because he abandoned me at that age.

Writing a letter changed things.

1. Perfectionism: The Root of Procrastination
I obsess over finding the perfect solution and presentation for 90% of the time, leaving nothing done. And the result? In my opinion, it wakes up my "panic monster" and is bad.

Why can’t we stick to the resolutions in the first place?
I believe it is due to the wrong approach, which is to rely on willpower and motivation. Initially we have burning motivation, but its nature is to fade.

In my view, this makes sticking to resolutions a tougher problem than it seems.

Millions of us wake up on January 1st resolve to break bad habits and form better ones. Most resolutions fade by February.

Fun fact: 80% of 2024 Forbes Health survey respondents felt confident in achieving their goals. Only 13% survive 4 months and 1% at year's end.

I was looking for psycho education about the core of CBT.

This book highlights how to handle automatic thoughts, but in my opinion these are generated from core beliefs that we form in childhood.

So I moved to “Reinventing your life” which solved the root problem.
