My dude, humans have been asking each other to keep their convos private since before there were “records.” Never mind journalists. Sure it’s not legally or professionally binding, but it’s often the right thing to do.
Yes, they *only* built a better search engine than any math department has ever had.
RAG/Semantic Search is the one legit app of LLMs. Was it worth all the costs? Idk, probably not. But if you ignore that the TAM for ElasticSearch is orders of magnitude lower than the dev costs, well, it’s cool.
We need the troops to be a little hungry if they’re gonna uphold their oath and defend the constitution from its domestic enemies occupying the White House
Sliwa’s the kind of cat who never compromises, never gives an inch, even after getting shot in the dick in a yellow cab. And Sliwa wouldn’t piss on Cuomo if he was on fire. Anyone who thinks he’d drop out now is out of their minds.
To put it another way: the greatest living mathematician (Tao) thought these results were noteworthy. mathstodon.xyz/@tao/1153850... but I’m sure some techcrunch blogger knows more than him about how easy it is to solve an Erdos problem! /s
This is like discounting Cooley and Tukey’s discovery of the FFT algorithm because Gauss and Fourier did it first. It is not uncommon for solutions to unsolved math problems to be buried in the literature. Unless the prior works explicitly stated they solved an Erdos problem, it’s legit IMO.
Comey’s another one where the popcorn tastes real good. His nepo baby daughter got canned after blowing the Diddy prosecution too.
They are coming for so many right now. Thousands of immigrants have been disappeared. Leave their allies to do the popular front thing (or to hang them out to dry).
In general, I hate the way that infosec crimes are of the “find me the man and I’ll find the crime” flavor. Really leads to so many bad outcomes (see Marcus Hutchins for an infamous one). But when it comes to Bolton, the ends justify the means. Like Ceaușescu’s sham trial, it was well-earned.
