#FMV signed #Saab AB for continued work on conceptual studies for future fighter systems in 2026-27.

This phase add 2.7 Bn SEK ($283m) to Konceptprogram Framtida Stridsflygsystem (KFS) and includes first flights. KFS includes #GKN Aerospace.

#NATO's goal 3.5% of GDP by 2030 backed by all parties in parliament. Gvmt also proposed continued budget increase beyond 2030.

🇭🇺 Two months in and it's half-time for #HUNAF in #Baltic Air Policing.

Their #QRA #Gripen unit has taken off on 43 training missions and 11 live scrambles.

Some live missions haven't been communicated by #NATO / HuMod. Possibly to I.D. civilian #aircraft.

The irony here is that Brazil also eyed second hand F-16's as an alternative to supplement their Gripen E fleet.

But as F-16 took priority in Ukraine, now Brazil may be able to get those second hand Gripen C/D's.

And, more second hand F-16's available for Ukraine?

Earlier idea to donate C/D seem less likely to happen as 🇸🇪 Defence Ministry and PM has only mentioned an E-sale to reporters this week.

We'll see. Should be some flexibility.
But 🇧🇷 could be eyeing those C/D's.

This week President Gustavo Petro asked his #cabinet why #Gripen contract was not signed.

There was an ambition to sign it at the end of September.

Recently offset conditions were established so it's moving forward but clearly the President wants to get it done.
