Yep, there was definitely a raw edge to those first two albums that they lost in later releases. All good though. I find good things in every Maiden era.

40 years old today!

I'd heard Running Free on a compilation album called Axe Attack, but Live After Death was my first real introduction to Maiden.

One of the best live albums of all time.

I've been feeling ill for the past couple of weeks, so not really able to paint miniatures. Still felt the urge to do something other than stare at the TV, though, so I bought a Sonic colouring book and a cheap pack of pencils.

Not bad for my first colouring in 30+ years! 😅
