October woods 😍🍂🍂🍂

Burnished leaves drift through crisp air as amber light filters between thinning trees. The forest floor glows with autumn’s quiet fire, whispering of change and stillness. I adore autumn walks! #autumn #forest #woodland #nature #eastcoastkin

This is a time when boundaries blur. Autumn begins to whisper. Leaves at the edges of trees burn slowly into amber, crimson, and gold. It starts in the highest branches or the tips of the shrubs, spreading like ink in water. #bloomscrolling #gardeningfeed #autumn #eastcoastkin #leaves

Happy September everyone. Due to the summer heat and drought, some of the leaves are already showing signs of change 🍂 #bloomscrolling #leaves #nature

The Peace Doves 🕊️ installation in Southwark Cathedral, London. Very moving and very poignant, especially now, in an aggressive world. #peace
More info in Alt description 🕊️
From the Southwark Cathedral online page … The world is crying for peace. Peter Walker’s beautiful installation gives voice to the thousands who have written their hopes on the soaring doves. Spending time with the installation has a distilling effect as it asks us to look up, to look beyond ourselves and the self-destruction we can all be engaged in, and to instead seek harmony, beauty, and a shared future shaped by peaceful relationships and justice.

Mark Oakley, Dean of Southwark
Southwark Cathedral is delighted to be hosting Peace Doves, an extraordinary installation created by internationally acclaimed sculptor Peter Walker. This impactful installation, features thousands of paper doves decorated with messages of peace.

Peace Doves is a large-scale, mass participation artwork featuring thousands of paper doves carrying personal messages of peace, hope and love. The doves all carry unique messages, written by visitors, school children, and community groups, and together they form a breathtaking installation that offers a serene space for contemplation and hope. Bathed in gentle, evocative lighting and at times accompanied by an original score by David Harper, the exhibit transforms the venue into a sanctuary of quiet reflection.

A smorgasbord of late summer bits and bobs. Autumn is creeping in around the edges of the garden. The light has shifted, there’s a slight chill in the dawn air. Will autumn arrive early, I’m wondering 🍂🧡 #bloomscrolling #flowers #gardening #cottagegarden #nature
A few calendula heads, poppy heads, some lime green robinia leaves and the first red Virginia creeper leaves. A smorgasbord of late summer garden bits and bobs 😊

Gatekeeper? meadow Brown? I didn’t get close enough to count the white spots in the black ‘eye’ marking. Either way, it’s loving the rudbeckia! 💛 #bloomscrolling #cottagegarden #garden #gardeningfeed #flowers #butterflies
