1960’s Batman water pistol. File under “The more you look…”
A documentary team once threw a mannequin into the Corryvreckan ("the Hag") with a high-visibility vest and depth gauge. The mannequin was swallowed and spat up far down current with a depth gauge reading of 262 m (860 ft) and evidence of being dragged along the bottom for a great distance.
The Corryvreckan is a narrow strait between the islands of Jura and Scarba, in Argyll and Bute, on the northern side of the Gulf of Corryvreckan, Scotland. It is the third-largest whirlpool in the world.

Boleskine House Update:

Caitlin Fitzgerald Art's completed stained glass ceiling light - the perfect complement to Finn McCallum's Egyptian Revival fireplace! The way that golden glass radiates light throughout this room is exactly what we hoped for when planning these bespoke elements.
These photos are from Hastings bonfire celebrations this weekend.
The torches, the smell of smoke and sulphur carried in the crisp late autumnal air. Then there’s the explosions, lots of them. Lots.
I’ve been to quite a few over the years and they are my favourite winter celebrations

Nothing, for me, beats the atmospheric and anarchic bonfire celebrations in East Sussex as the Bonfire Societies march through various towns towards the enevitable massive pyre on a beach or field.

In that case, you’ve always been that good! Of course, I’m not thinking, it’s just me forgetting I’m a bit further south. 🙁

Summer ’68 - Atom Heart Mother
The Isle of Discussion, also known as Eilean a' Chòmhraidh, is a small, heart-shaped island in Loch Leven, Scotland. It was a meeting place for members of the MacDonald clan who had disputes with their neighbours.
Beautiful photo Anna. You are getting really good at this!

No frolicking in that field for me. Nope.
Wow, someone just posted this on the Findochty FB page; all the kids from the primary school of that year, 75/76 I think. Some of the people in the photo are commenting, people that I haven’t thought of for a long time and some are name checking me as well. Feels a bit odd.
My friend Fiona posted this pic of her new Crass socks, which she is well chuffed with. Cool. However ,if, in the early’80s, anyone had punted the idea of anarcho socks (Tm) to me I’d have fell about laughing. I probably needed to lighten up a bit then though , truth be told. 🙂
