Just a friendly reminder that the #youtube algorithm has no taste. My lowest effort, dumbest video, inside joke, youtube short resulted in 9.5k views and 26 hours of viewing of my pinky finger last month. Which is probably longer than I spent looking at it last month.

Tough day in #fediverse. OVH cloud is causing issues for some #mastodon and #pixelfed sites. There's a verify your email mastodon scam causing admins to watch for compromised spam accounts and apparently #matrix main server is in the middle of a multi hour database restore. Reminder stay spread out.

So far I've refused to get a threads account. But it has been nice to be able to interact with my friends that are there. Glad someone's keeping track of how well, (or not) threads is mingling with the rest of the Fediverse.

Newbie ponderings: I was a bit confused about how #Nostr relays worked. They were supposedly all their own silos. But even though #Primal only listed its own relay in the settings, my messages still made it to #Amethyst and @openvibe.social and vice versa. (1/2)
