If we all just stop buying AAA games, they'll just stop making em and everyone will get laid off (faster). You buying a game doesn't go directly into their pockets, but you not buying their games goes into the company deciding to not make anymore, because why would they?

As a game developer, I'm not saying that, never that 😂

But also I come from a background where that was the only way to even acquire some games to begin with, so if it must be done, it must be done.
