I'm furious, it is clear we will need to step in and fight side by side, to protect and regain Ukraine from the Monsters in this world.
Terra power was the first one in decades to get regulator approval for there new design.

After that Oklo.

The writer clearly didn't want to talk to experts in the field.
What a bad piece, it's writen by someone hwo has no engineering insight.

It's not deregulation.
Oklo's application was anticipated to be a longer journey, because it's not a PWR and will use higher grade commercial fuel then those.
Which can be reused and such.
In uranium, that's less then 50mΒ³.

So it's really the most compact energy source we use.
And a much better economy and not sponsor putin so greatly before and during there war.
They could have also just put a stripe trough the plans of destroying the clean energy from more then 20 GWe fission reactors.
read my answer to your comments, am I talking about the first build.

Put it into context, some will stay anti-nuclear forever, it won't change there opinion.
Unlikely, they produce more energy out of the used uranium.
Also the specific make-up of the spend fuel matters.

Gen-4 advances reactor will consume existing spend fuel.
If you have more nuclear you will use more uranium.
still compact

Modular will take less time to build, after the first builds
We have to think bigger, not smaller.

Making fertilizer, making steel without coax

Shipping without oil or diesel.
Without nuclear & deep geothermal , its near impossible to become netzero in Europe.

It's not only electricity.
We need a lot of thermal capacity for industrial processes.

And high temperatures.
I mean what is the uptime.

Are the old coal plants being kept, while the new plants take over the operation, which they more efficient, maybe a slightly lower CO2eq output.

I hope this is the case or might become so.

And the total coal TWh declines.
Are these netto numbers or only new capacity.

For coal utilization % of New and old is important.
It is indeed nonsense, it's related to the location option of the plant.

And it depends on how much energy production you are doing.

Cooling towers are cool, pun intended
Germany is up to more climate criminal action, destroying more infrastructure of the 1344MWe reactors.

They have blown up the cooling towers of this plant.

Fout.

In the 1970s, the French government ran this ad: β€œwe don’t have petrol, but we have ideas”

Today, French electricity generation is 72% nuclear, 21% renewables and 7% fossil fuels. They are the largest net exporter of electricity in the world.
