We all know what it's like to want a peaceful break. Marcus finally managed to capture this priceless moment when Bonnie takes her lunch into her barn to eat in privacy. She's been doing this for years, meal after meal. Clyde remains oblivious to her as long as he has his own lunch.

Very few animals get old like Banbh at @thevegansanctuary.bsky.social. Most are brutally killed when they are a few months old for something we could very easily do without. Be vegan.

Banbh has been very unwell recently so we were delighted to see her going on a little journey in her paddock after lunch recently. She is one of our older, special needs residents. As Eden ages, so do the animals who live here and, sadly, end of life care becomes the norm.

Doesn't Leonard have a beautiful, expressive face? How could anyone think of him as food or clothing? Being vegan is simply the manifestation of a change in attitude from thinking of them as our resources to recognising them as feeling beings with rights.

Mavis and her daughter, Beatrice, were rescued when Beatrice was a few months old. On a vegan sanctuary we recognise that the bond they share is as important as the bond between a human mother and her child. They will never be separated.
