There are writers, creating the most evocative and life-changing art, every single day, and most have never heard of them, because their medium is fanfiction.

Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat

The thing is, he hit me, so if the passengers were indeed injured, it would be because the driver was going too fast

No, I was pulling out of my parking spot on the street when they barrelled down the road and hit me on the passenger side, so they had the right of way, but were likely going too fast, which is why I didn't see them in my rear view before I pulled out of my parking spot

and now I got to somehow poop out the $500 deductible to fix the sideswipe on my front passenger seat, which I wouldn't even bother with, if the door frame weren't slightly bent, but I do have rental car coverage so it'll be fun to drive something new for a few days

and the damage to the taxi was negligible but of course the driver had to file a police report and the passengers insisted on calling for an ambulance and I have no doubt they are all going to try to sue me over it because that's how they do here in Mobtown

I got into a fender bender with a taxi today and it was really stupid and at first I thought it was my fault but the more I think about it the more I'm like, no, I totally would have seen them in my rear view but they were going way too fast for a residential street, 30 feet out from a stop sign

How to make Izzy's pumpkin!

(Note: I made this pattern up today and these instructions have not been tested, so if you try making it and find anything amiss, please let me know)
•	Small amounts of yarn:
o	Orange worsted weight
o	Green fingering weight (used double)
•	Crochet hooks
o	Size G (4mm)
o	Size C (2.75mm)
•	Polyfill
•	Tapestry needle

Pumpkin:
•	With orange yarn and size G hook, ch 13.
o	Row 1: Sl in 2nd stitch from hook, 2 sc, 2 hdc, 2dc, 2 hdc, 2sc, sl in last ch. Ch1, turn.
o	Rows 2-20 (work in back loop only); Sl in 2nd stitch from hook, 2 sc, 2 hdc, 2dc, 2 hdc, 2sc, sl in last ch. Ch1, turn.
•	Fasten off, leaving a long tail.
•	Seam the edges together. Gather the bottom stitches and pull snugly to close. Secure with a small knot. Do not trim tail yet.
•	Fill the pumpkin with polyfill to desired firmness.

Stem:
•	With double strand of green yarn and size C hook
o	Row 1: sc around open edge at top of piece. (10 sc)
o	Row 2: [Dec sc, 1 sc] around, end with 1 sc (8 sc)
o	Row 3: [Dec sc] around (4 sc)
o	Rows 4-5: 4 sc
•	Fasten off, hiding ends inside pumpkin.

Shaping
•	Thread orange tail back onto tapestry needle and push through the bottom up to the top, catching the thread inside the stem, and then pull the tail back out the bottom of the piece.
•	Cinch the piece up to the desired shape, then secure with a small knot and fasten off, hiding end inside pumpkin.

Obligatory post in honor of Indigenous Peoples Day. Have a blessed one (unless you're a racist, then you can go to hell).
Bad Place characters in two panels
Top panel: Fun fact: Columbus is in the bad place
Bottom panel: because of all the raping, slave trade, and genocide.

Watercolor illustration of a field of pumpkins against a night sky with a giant moon. Some of the pumpkins have carved jack-o-lantern faces. All are dark, except for one smiling face in the foreground that is lit up. Pumpkin flowers rise up into the sky and become stars.

if you tickle us, do we not laugh? if you poison
us, do we not die? and if you wrong us, shall we not
revenge?"
