🔹Not a hint of defensive lapse even at 4–0 up, and Raya earns his third consecutive UCL clean sheet.
🔹A statement win, even if it’s only the league phase of the Champions League.
🔹What’s frightening is that we still haven’t clicked fully in attack but what a night nonetheless.
🔹It mirrored our move against PSG last season, only this time, we found the back of the net.
🔹Gyökeres ending his goal drought with the strangest brace was the icing on the cake and no one deserved it more.
🔹Rice deserves to be mentioned among the upper echelon of midfielders. His set-piece delivery is pure class.
🔹A Gabriel headed goal feels inevitable these days.
🔹MLS driving from midfield to lay it off for Martinelli, who finished it like Henry — that’s my favourite goal of this season.
🔹Atlético started brightly and the post came to our rescue from a brilliant Álvarez strike, their only real threat of the night.
🔹Then came that 14-minute spell where we simply couldn’t stop scoring.
Arsenal vs Atletico Madrid FT thoughts:

🔹For an uneventful first half, that second half turned into a blockbuster.
🔹Can’t quite believe we’ve just blown away Simeone’s Atlético 4–0.

Disappointed with the draw, but so happy for Martinelli. Top character, and if he keeps going like this, he’ll find his 2022/23 form again.

Let’s not give up on Martinelli — at least not yet.
How you do anything is how you do everything. MLS is destined for greatness.

Arsenal Hot Take - Declan Rice wasn’t just a record signing. It was the moment Arsenal stopped being a project and started being a superpower.
🔹 Saka has been the best player on the pitch by quite some distance.
🔹 The pitch looks overwatered; not sure if that’s intentional, but it’s definitely slowing the play.
🔹 Need to raise the tempo in the second half, but overall we look pretty comfortable.
Arsenal vs Atletico Madrid HT thoughts:

🔹 Not the most eventful game from a blockbuster tie standpoint.
🔹 We’ve opened up Atlético’s defence a few times and could easily be a goal up.
🔹 Raya had a momentary lapse that could’ve gifted them a goal.
🔹Otherwise we’ve completely shut down their attack.
I don’t mind having a high threshold for a penalty but the real issue is the inconsistency in interpretation. If contact is deemed enough, then that should be the standard, rather than treating it as a case-by-case scenario to suit whichever context needs justifying.
Welcome to the Premier League Arne Slot.
🔹 These last three fixtures have been stumbling blocks in the past two seasons — to take 9/9 from them is massive.
🔹 We stay top of the table for another week — now the pressure swings back onto Liverpool tomorrow.
🔹 Saka and Timber were by far our standout players; their link-up play opened up so many dangerous situations.
🔹 Not an impressive game from an attacking standpoint, but to allow zero shots on target at Craven Cottage is a serious defensive feat.
🔹 Trossard had a poor game overall, but that goal should give him a much-needed boost of confidence.
🔹 Gyökeres gets manhandled a lot — you feel for him — but he also needs to be a little smarter in how he uses (or avoids) contact.
Fulham vs Arsenal FT thoughts:

🔹 Craven Cottage test cleared — and in the end, three points was all that mattered.
🔹 Arsenal’s second-half performance was a clear step up from the first.
🔹 Even when the attack isn’t in full flow, corners remain our cheat code for goals.
🔹Gyökeres–Eze–Saka haven’t been able to link up, with Fulham doing well to keep them quiet.
🔹Calafiori always brings a smile to my face — what a strike that was for the disallowed goal.
🔹Players need to step up in the second half; we’ll have to force the issue to break down Fulham’s stubborn block.
Fulham vs Arsenal HT thoughts:

🔹Fulham started fast and direct, looking threatening for most of the first half.
🔹We looked disjointed and sloppy in possession during the opening half-hour.
🔹The last 15 minutes were much better, as we finally started to build some momentum.
Haaland is having his RvP at United 2012/13 season right now.
Whoever gets Antoine Semenyo next will have their Sadio Mané 2.0. I just hope it’s Arsenal.
Nottingham Forest tried to fix what wasn’t broken and now they find themselves in utter chaos.
