I draw the figures separately, because that way I don't make as many mistakes with proportions/anatomy. But in the process, I always forget not to detail the parts that won't be seen.

The most painful part of the process is having to erase the drawing underneath the hair. You have to draw it completely so you don't make silly mistakes. But even so, it hurts :'v
