So true, especially when I'm someone whose story was originally a Bionicle story. Fanart can be fun but nothing beats the pride and joy from drawing and writing my own universe. Heck, even when it comes to fanart of my own stuff, I tell people to go ham with their own style when they make it.
Draw more original stuff. Fanart is fine and dandy, but if it’s all you ever draw, you’ll be beholden to an established style rather than developing your own.

Gotcha! To briefly summarize, his memory ability stays dormant throughout most of the day but at sunset, he manifests an ability based on what he remembers of the day. He mainly uses the media he consumes that day as a basis for his next ability.
