Coal was less than 1%
≈385,662 oil, gas, coal, & nuclear jobs in 2023
≈275,000 jobs in solar
≈175,000 in wind
≈450,000 in renewables total
only ≈50,000 in coal
Wind energy tech & solar installer
2 fastest growing jobs in last decade

PS: Every electric vehicle from e-scooter or e-bike on up
is a rolling battery & could be used as an ad hoc power source
when/if grid goes down
We should be designing all e-vehicles with that in mind
PPS: regenerative braking could reduce external energy needs
in transportation considerably too
