New research led by @thesccjr.bsky.social has found that four in five women musicians in the Scottish folk scene have experienced sexual harassment or assault.

The survey highlights the need for industry-wide change.

As the University celebrates its own 575th birthday in 2026, the 26th of January 2026 marks 100 years since UofG world changer and alumnus John Logie Baird gave the world’s first public demonstration of a working television at 22 Frith Street in Soho, London.
