I'd forgotten about Lake... but yeah, there's definitely a lot going on behind the scenes. Epstein was famous for being a blackmailer, and he had huge amounts of evidence on a host of wealthy people. They're all putting pressure on every legislator they own to suppress this in whatever way necessary
