i think. a lot of people want to put art into the world, have it be seen and praised, but not actually talk to people as a person. they want to talk about the thing they made, but they don't want to see other makers as their peers.

I really like how these two #OC's of mine are getting more and more art of them and their dynamic.
I slowly grow to understand them better with this #kinktober2025, even though the actual story is UST and slow bur,n and they are unwilling allies at first who don't trust each othe,r so it becomes

but the character designs are on point, the battle system is an interesting spin on things, and maybe the story won't be that deep but like it doesn't have to be to still be *fun*. I think its fine to find it lackluster but it's also not some terrible unplayable thing like some reviews have sounded.

like, there's some legitimate criticisms to be had about flat textures and lack of npcs in what's supposed to be a city-- but I'm also not surprised they prioritized performance because people were SO VOCALLY MAD about scarvi. which is also a legit complaint! but then they overcorrected a bit LMAO

--and there's a lot of spots in the world where it's flat textures instead of fully 3d modeled. which doesn't bother me that much but ymmv! but it's clear it was done with og switch performance in mind.

I have only played a few hours but the performance has been great!! no lagging or anything, and I got 2+ hours on battery which is pretty damn good considering my switch battery hasn't lasted past that in years 😂 of course the trade off was the city isn't as populated as you'd think it would be--
