We are ABSOLUTELY NOT overturning the police advice to ban.

We are just working with police to ensure the ban does not happen.
IDS should've disappeared decades ago. The list of his abhorrent views on many topics is very long.

The Aberfan episode in The Crown was the most powerful drama I've ever seen. It moved me to tears.
The recreation of the classroom was perfect. Exactly like the one I was in at the time 200 miles away in West Yorkshire.
Thoughts are with all those affected by the catastrophe at Aberfan.

An afternoon of completing putting my CD library into a tidy and safe location. No excuses. Today it will be done.
Another aquired CD being played for the first time...with a nod to Christmas. Annie Lennox - A Christmas Cornucopia.
Released in 2010. Then it suddenly hit me...that's 15 years ago.

Peston is lazy. It's that simple. He is part of a broadcast media elite whose total lack of curiosity and cosiness with the political class has played a major role in getting us to where we are today.
Peston tells Lam that she said something that he "genuinely didn't understand". "But who are these people who came legally who should leave?"

This does not look like faux naivety.
He should know the answer!

She misleads in her answer to him.
So he gives a misleading summary of her policy on air.
Preston and Marr are similar. Given too much prominence within the media. Also look at Preston's body language.
This is what democracy looks like 🍉
Peston cuts Zack Polanski off because Zack points out that yes Israel should be boycotted because they Torture Western citizens, including from the UK.
Playing a retrospective CD of Teresa Brewer...four hidden Christmas songs hidden amongst the tracks. They have a habit of doing that. Which sometimes means they are overlooked unless you remember they are there.

🧵I mentioned sneaking an odd Christmas CD into my playlist so they all get played but not overloading when it arrives. First off a really great album. It was never played on UK radio stations as far as I know. Why people often don't realise the new stuff being produced. 1/
Released in 2020. There is a new Christmas album out now by Lady A. I have misplaced it but am determined to find it as I tidy my CD collection. Anyhow he is the original. It has vibes of the two albums The Carpenters released decades ago. 2/

This is so fucking wrong. He’s just ignored the entire process that must be followed to mess with the peoples’ house. Like he ignores every other rule, norm, & law. I’m so fucking pissed off at his Republican enablers who let him do this. The White House is OUR house. Not his.

🧵5am and at this time I am feeling calm and peaceful. Will I be later? I cannot say but I will accept how I am now. 😌 Sometimes the early hours feel safe. The world feels like it is not alive. You cannot be harmed. I am not doing morning radio or TV news. Music is OK. Starting to sneak an odd 1/
Some that acknowledge the time of year or season but are not strictly Christmas themed. 3/
Christmas CD into the mix. 🤣 If I don't they won't be heard. Or it will be overload. The difference here is I have many that are never played on the radio. So you won't be saying "Not that song again" There are different versions of popular songs. Songs that avoid being traditional. 2/

🧵The changes to the White House by Trump. Technically he lives there on a loan agreement? It is not his. You would think if he wants to make changes he would have to seek permission from some kind of regulator or it would have to be passed by the senate etc...the public have 1/

Historic sites often have strict rules about how you can alter them. Looks like just something else that doesn’t apply to King Trump.🫏🤬
In some ways, the regime half-assedly tearing off part of the White House without regard for construction protocols might have more of an impact on the offline folks than the past ten months.

"It's always like, 'someone found me in an airport, and they pulled me to the side and they whispered and they put a note in my pocket saying that I was the greatest person in the world.'"

Which is a lot of words for "It never happened." Jack Cocchiarella:

Awake by 2.30am. 😩 But I slept earlier on so I must not complain. Music playing. Had decaff coffee. Meds, vitamins and minerals. Put more CD's into order so they time has not been wasted. Not noticing it being cold indoors. Reasonably cosy.
👍 Yes...It appears so.

Looks like Maccabi have saved the UK government from the spectacle of somehow overturning an expert public safety assessment.

Either politicians make public safety at sports stadiums an absolute priority or they do not.

Maccabi Tel Aviv say in a statement that they will "decline any allocation offered on behalf of away fans" for next month's Europa League match against Aston Villa at Villa Park, adding that "the wellbeing and safety of our fans is paramount."
