Desperate and afraid, she screamed for help - like I’d ever notice something 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 small.

Her cries were cut short as an SUV-sized wad of foot gunk - damp from stewing all day in my hot, sweaty shoe - slammed into her. 🤢

Since suggesting I might find him shrunken, everything changed. He takes off my shoes, brings me drinks, rubs my feet—even in front of our friends.

They treat him differently now, too. Talk about him, not to him, like he’s already tiny.

To be honest, I hope he never shrinks. Who’d carry my bags?

Instead of the ant scurrying from my footfall, I’m the one fleeing from this puny bug as it looms over me.

A housefly I was about to swat now as big as a blimp from my horrified perspective…

I've always enjoyed this in size. There's something so perfect about scenarios that bring loss of power, status, and humanity into sharp focus.

Subsin13 had some wonderful, nightmarish scenes like this in his early work. I couldn't look away.
