I'm not sure that assembling a force of over 50 Riders of Rohan was necessarily a good thing. Not sure exactly where I'll ever use them in a game. But it feels great to have them at my disposal. A multi- eored force. Painting takes me forever. Hey ho

Blimey that resonated with me! I've always drawn maps and created imaginary worlds. Probably since seeing the map in the back of The Hobbit. I went on holiday to Somerset when I was 14 and turned a map of Cornwall, Devon and Sonerset into a series of pre-Saxon mini kingdons. Love a map

Drumburgh Moss today. A very rare example of a lowland raised mire which gets all its water from rain. Lots of dragonflies. Saw a few pairs of Stonechats. A snipe flew past. A few swallows. Heard a blackcap.
