It’s strange going from Phoenix where there’s a Jack-in-the-Box on every corner to somewhere where they’re non-existent. I miss my Sourdough Jacks man

As @mikeascotto.bsky.social reported yesterday, a source confirmed the Suns and Raptors did discuss a Nick Richards-for-Ochai Agbaji trade. Free for everyone at @sunsafterdark.bsky.social, here's where things stand with those talks: bit.ly/4slhhFo

“Honey, Don’t!” is what someone should’ve told Ethan Coen before making this movie because what a bizarre and disappointing misfire:
A ★★ review of Honey Don't! (2025)
-A dismaying, disappointing throwaway in Ethan Coen’s filmography that’s more invested in vibes than substance -Welcome to a film where characters and their motivations are scantly fleshed out in favo...

Steph Curry signed the Chevy Book 1s he wore tonight for Devin Booker: “Book! Called shotgun with the gold medal backcourt!!”

When asked postgame what helped him get going in the 3rd quarter, Devin Booker says he took his "court shorts" off that are designed to restrict his movement and protect the injured groin. Interesting

Final: PHX 99, GSW 98
Booker: 25 Pts, 9-19 FG
Brooks: 24 Pts, 7 Reb, 10-23 FG, 4-8 3P
Gillespie: 16 Pts, 6 Reb, 5 Ast, 5-12 FG
Butler: 31 Pts, 11-17 FG

WELL THEY DON'T CALL HIM JORDAN BADLOSS

Jordan Goodwin, doing what he's always done, comes up with a huge offensive rebound and gets fouled with 0.4 seconds. Misses the first FT but makes the second, Suns hang on for the win
December 19, 2025 at 4:41 AM
Tough shot, Book. He's been a lot better since the 1-for-7 start! That bucket over Jimmy Butler put the Suns up 2, then Steph Curry gets fouled and hits both FTs. Tie game again with 21.7 seconds left, Suns ball

I get Suns fans are gonna be mad about no foul being called on the play and then it being reviewed for a Flagrant 1.

Easiest way to avoid that (and the ensuing 5-point play for GSW to tie the game) is just not foul him, which Brooks admitted he needed to be better about recently

NBA has gotta take a hard look in the mirror and address its officiating. Suns, Rockets got hosed, 2 Pistons ejected today, long video reviews, last 2 minutes take 5 years...the negative broadcasting problem is (mostly) better, but they need to allow the on-court product to shine

I wanted the Suns to draft Dillon Brooks in the 2nd round way back in 2017 because I thought he'd look a lot like the dude he's been in Phoenix this year. Pretty cool seeing what he's brought this season

Collin Gillespie with a phenomenal steal, then maybe thought about dunking it, thought better of it in midair, lost the ball and airballed the layup. His reaction said it all, he knows Shaqtin' is coming lol
December 19, 2025 at 4:19 AM
Suns were right on the cusp of opening things up, but it's a 6-0 Warriors run after the Suns missed quite a few makeable shots:

-Book pull-up 3
-Dillon Brooks turnaround
-Brooks 3
-Jordan Goodwin open 3

Suns up 84-82 with 5:15 to go

Collin Gillespie checks back in to a nice ovation from the Suns crowd. Great to see he's okay
December 19, 2025 at 4:05 AM
Uh oh. Collin Gillespie went down holding his left knee. Was able to get up and limp off, heading to the locker room

Suns down 40-35 and only have 2 offensive rebounds despite only shooting 38% from the floor. Gonna need someone to turn the energy around (ideally, your best player once he checks back in)

What should we make of Dillon Brooks’ great start?

@scooperhoops2.bsky.social: “Parts of it are real, and parts of it are not.”

@geraldbourguet.bsky.social: “I’m shaving my head if he’s still at that % [at the rim] by the end of the year.”
