Writing my first romance novel. Voracious reader (mostly romance). Mom of a very energetic toddler. I love libraries and running.

I’m a couple months late to the Storm celebration, but… God, what I wouldn’t give to go back and reread all Sarah MacLean books for the first time. These Summer Storms made me ache, cry, and laugh. The writing is gorgeous. The narration is perfection. (Julia Whelan, of course) 💙📚 #romancelandia

Zomromcom by @oliviawrites.bsky.social was an absolute delight. The banter was hilarious, the action was tense, the zany supporting cast of characters shone. More addictive than highly-processed foods, I devoured this book. Can’t wait for the next one. 💙📚 #romancelandia

Another Mary Jane Wells narrated book, Game Point by Meg Jones was a fun follow-up to the first in the series, Clean Point. I love books that provide satisfying character exploration of a previous villain-type (although Dylan wasn’t quite a villain). Glad she got her own story! 💙📚 #romancelandia

LOVE narrator Mary Jane Wells, so The Duchess by Sophie Jordan was a nice listen. I enjoyed the premise and the two main characters were compelling, but the book seemed a bit thin in the middle. I wanted a bit more intimacy between the MCs to justify the book’s resolution. 💙📚 #romancelandia

It’s been a minute since I posted anything 💙📚 related, so here’s a couple very shor reviews of what I’ve been reading/listening to. #romancelandia #bookreview

Went to sleep when my toddler did last night and slept a full 12 hours. Is this what being alive feels like?!

So I'm new to novel writing, but not new to writing overall. I wish someone had said right away that my voice is feminist AF and that is just fine! To be fair, I was told that eventually by someone who mattered.

Hey #LateNightWrite. I'm sitting here writing a romance novel, simultaneously thinking about going for a run. Fittingly, the protagonist of my novel is also a runner. Both the running and writing have been on pause a while for me as I had to visit a loved one in the hospital a lot in recent days.
Happy Saturday and welcome to another #LateNightWrite! Let's start with Introductions, tell us about yourself and your WIP(s) in any way you like.

Gosh, whatever nurses are paid in hospitals, it’s not enough.

What I've discovered today after I did a search for the word “real” in my manuscript is that I really really overuse the adverb “really” in my book. For real.

Definitely shoulda added some 📚💙 tags the first time around. #RomanceNovel #RomanceReader

If you’re interested, and while this is a standalone novel, start with Don’t Want You Like a Best Friend by the same author and then read this one!
Finished listening to @eraofemma.bsky.social’s fantastic You’re the Problem, It’s You last night. This was a satisfying read. I love queer historical romances that don’t pretend like the stakes aren’t high.

I worked on my book in a hospital room today. (Not admitted, but someone I love is.) Reminded me of how I started reading romance novels in a time of grief. Now I am writing one during a time of even greater grief. Both times the genre has been a balm for my soul. 📚💙 #RomanceReader #RomanceWriter

Hi 👋 #LateNightWrite. I’m Genevieve. Went out for a late five mile run tonight.

I’m writing my first novel, a romance about a young-ish widow. I just started in June and the creative and emotional exercise has been good for my soul. (Much like my running)
Happy Monday and welcome to another #LateNightWrite! Let's start with Introductions, tell us about yourself and your WIP(s) in any way you like.

That satisfying moment when I finally realize the title of the book I’m writing. 📚 #AmWriting #Booksky #WritingCommunity #RomanceWriter #RomanceBooks #TitlesAreTheHardestPart

Struggling today with the why: why am I writing a romance novel while at the same time so many injustices are happening in my country and in the world? I’m really heartbroken. #AmWriting #Writers #WritingCommunity

Quote with your current top 4 books of the year. (Had a hard time with this. More than 1 TJ Klune book was in the running.) #Booksky #romancelandia

End of Story by @kyliescott.bsky.social has been in my Libby tagged section for probably over a year. Just started listening to it last night on my run. The audiobook narration is fantastic and I love how the mystery is set up in the first chapter. #AmListening #AmRunning #romancenovel #booksky

I went on Twitter for a hot minute today—a meteorologist I follow posts a specific type of weather data there—and was immediately taken aback at how far the Discover feed had veered to the right since the last time I was on maybe 2 weeks ago. Only 1 tweet in the top 15 was even close to my interests

Nearly done with @megjoneswrites.bsky.social’s Clean Point, and I love it! Perfectly timed listening to this book with the few days a year when I pay attention to tennis. Narration is excellent. (Mary Jane Wells always is.) Takes a while to get to the 🌶️ but it’s worth it. #booksky #romancenovels

Hi everyone, especially #booksky! I’m new here. Writing my first romance novel now, and I read voraciously (like about 100 books a year, generally #romancenovels), mostly on Libby. Send recs my way, whether your own book or someone else’s!
