Continued Need & Future Recommendations
- The TRF has become a crucial source of support for grantees, especially those providing direct assistance.
- The needs of TGNC communities continue to grow, well beyond the current capacity of the fund.
- In addition to funds, TGNC communities need opportunities to connect, experience joy, and build relationships.
- Organizations will likely have to seriously shift strategies to respond to the existing and upcoming political climate.
- The TRF model demonstrates the power and benefits of trusting in TGNC communities to define need and build their own networks of support.
- While TRF has filled a funding gap, additional support is needed to ensure consistent access for BIPOC-led and unincorporated groups.

3) Facilitated leadership and professional development for both committee members and grantees.

- Many grantees used TRF funds to support stipends and compensation for different forms of leadership and labor.
- For many TRF grantmaking committee members, the opportunity to be in a position of institutional decision-making power had financial, professional, and personal impact.
- The structure of the grantmaking committee made space for people to grow as leaders.
- Grantmaking committee members described feeling valued for their opinions in the decision-making process.

- Community-building was a significant throughline of the process and had a profound impact on grantmaking committee members.
- For grantees, relationship-building was a distinguishing feature of the TRF, particularly in comparison to other grant programs.
- Gender Justice Fund provided opportunities for TRF grantees to connect with one another to build strategy, share ideas, and collectively cultivate resources.

- Some grantees were able to expand or sustain existing TGNC-focused programming with funds from the TRF.
- For many organizations that received multiple years of funding from the TRF, community members have come to rely on the funding and services.
- For some grantees, receiving a grant inspired them to develop or implement new programs.
- TRF funding helped some grantee organizations get off the ground and/or expand.

FINDINGS: Microgrants, Major Impact
- An estimated $430,000, or 69%, of the total funds distributed provided direct support to trans and gender nonconforming people .
- TGNC communities use these funds to meet basic needs and these funds are especially important for specific populations, such as incarcerated TGNC people.
- Grantees have developed systems for efficiently and safely distributing direct assistance funds to TGNC communities.
- Microgrant distribution is a rare opportunity to entrust TGNC people to meet their own needs.

Polls show that most Americans support abortion access, Medicaid expansion, and public funding of NPR and PBS. The majority of Americans also view immigrants favorably and are opposed to the administration’s current tactics. The current federal actions are against the will of the people and fly in the face of democracy. We must stand up to them, even if it feels risky. "

We stand in solidarity with trans youth in Tennessee and across the US and condemn SCOTUS' cruel and inhumane decision which goes against the recommendations of the American Medical Assn, the American Pediatric Assn, and other mainstream medical groups. Bodily autonomy is a human right.
