All I know about the sport from down here in Australia is that its a Yakuza minigame sometimes and if I follow the @cyricz42.bsky.social guide I never have to think.

Its a vague memory for me though. In 2015 my extremely neurotypical self decided to spend 8 months reading King's entire body of work in release order. I had not read a word of him before. I have not read a word of him since.

Was a fun year, though.

IIRC he got hit by a car and the close call inspired him to finish the Dark Tower quickly after dragging his feet for a number of years.

And in that conclusion he wrote himself into the book and had the main cast dimensionally travel to him and save him from his own car accident

BUT, it sounds like a well-written fun time, and an immersive story to go through if you meet it on its terms instead of wishing it was something else!

I look forward to diving in. In about 1-2 years when its 1/4 to 1/3 of the price.

Its getting exactly the reception I expected - both the nuanced takes from people who 'get it', and the bloodbath of disappointment we could all see coming. I think it was a CohhCarnage clip where he said the whole thing was set up to fail in such an avoidable way, chiefly down to that damn name.

My favourite install size fact is that the discontinued Hitman 2, which contains all of Hitman 1 + 2 and is still in my library, has an install size of 150 GB.

Hitman World of Assassination, which contains literally all of that + all of Hitman 3, comes in at 78 GB.

Even if I could afford full price AAA games, I would still buy 2-5 year old AAA games on sale and get 2-3x the games for the same amount of money.

The only time this approach will fail me is when I die and I don't think I'm gonna care much then

Was looking at this wikipedia page (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...) and, uhm... the entry for @richardcobbett.bsky.social's Nighthawks sure is written *interestingly*. While I'm very certain the game isn't for kids, I don't know if I'd go so far as 'adult visual novel' 🤣

Just leave it. Don't add any voice. Or do it yourselves. Even if it's a placeholder. Come on y'all :/

Slightly lenient in the sense that I'm willing to let it go if they change their mind, but it'll be a cold day in hell before I accept it.

Unfortunately, it looks like the modders have chosen to do The Bad Thing, at least as far as the demo.
