Yes, my thoughts exactly, and very well put. It is nothing to take light of, and even if I was young at the time, I remember how everything started to change in all the worst ways. So much of what we see now can be traced back to a lot of those things, and it is very disturbing

As someone who was born and raised across the river from NYC, it baffles and upsets me to see how this date/the incident itself has been turned into a joke online. What better way to end this month than to put a spotlight on the guy who's been in Austin's shadow this whole time... Oh.

(The day I missed was the last LOL, but IT'S FINALLY OVER!! 🎉 It's been a wild ride, but hope you had fun)

Austin August Day 29: Home Sweet Home 📞

After a whole year of living on the road/travelling cross-country, Austin arrived in NYC. Despite The Horrors in the city circa the 1980s, it's the closest thing that's felt like home to him.

My OC Austin in a phonebooth in 1980s NYC. There are bullet holes in the glass, and abandoned/destroyed buildings can be seen outside. However, Austin is calmly drinking coffee as he says on the phone, "I dunno... I just feel at home here, ya know?"
