Before vs. After

I knew I wanted to keep the original IIDX monitor frame no matter what… so I was happy to find out a community mod already existed to upgrade the 37” 60Hz Troopers LCD, with a brand new 38” 120Hz IPS display!

I think it’s hard to tell it’s not official 😮

My cab currently runs FNEX… which is a shame really. Very dull theme. But I did play platinum for a few weeks before doing the “upgrade”.

I might have just missed the right options/mode, but there didn’t seem to be much for 14k outside of space mix 😰

Still… a very cool style!!

This cab is a bit of an amalgamation - mostly JP cab at this point, with some of the best bits of an original DS (including the marquee!)

I’d absolutely trade this marquee for a soft US DDR 1st though…

I don’t think I’ve got anything THAT rare… but I do own TWO pop’n stage cabs, and I only know of maybe 7 or 8 of those left in the world 😅

Of course, I won’t be getting a Galaxian 3 anyway, because they’re TOO BIG!
