Not wrong, but it was because freedom of speech is such a fundamental right in this country and affects everyone equally. Yes, some have a bigger platform than others, but it still matters to anyone who owns a mouth.

Sure, and I realize that has its problems, but I don’t think making justices directly elected is the best answer either. I don’t know what the ideal solution is. In theory, even if the executive and judicial branches are in lock step, the legislative *could* be a check on them.
