“Production will stop, shipments will be frozen, and some companies may not make it”: board game industry braces for further pain after Trump threatens 130% tariffs on China:

I saw a Lego haunted house set in the store and decided to try my hand at making my own. I used the official instructions but had to get creative for the pieces I didn't have.
My latest game design Mission: Drive launched today on Gamefound! I designed this with Ian Cooper and it's my first stand-alone solo game. I am really happy with the 80's vibe going on! Check it out! #boardgames
Mission: Drive by Gabe-Barrett
Race through crowded streets as an elite spy, taking down enemy agents without crashing, harming civilians, or running out of time. Gain upgrades, face the final boss, and escape in style!

Strangely enough, I was nostalgic for Yub Nub just yesterday!
Don't say your wish out loud or it might not come true!
If you haven't played it yet, the boardgame is surprisingly very evocative of the movie.
Doing good so far at Star Tycoon... I think.
Played my upcoming game Xenology by @playtozgames.bsky.social with some new and old friends at TFest.
I'm attending a local con this weekend, TFest, in Pflugerville, Texas. It's nice being only 20 minutes away!
The school year is almost done here and we'll be heading up to #bggcon tomorrow to celebrate! Looking forward to some time off to relax!
I can't tell if his plans are crumbling or coming together.
This past weekend I saw Sinners. It brought me a lot of joy because it captured a lot of the same themes and motifs I presented in my Southern Depression-era game Trail Story: America.
That's my pet peeve - finding incorrectly pipped dice in drawings. I can't help checking, though.

In Trail Story: America you'll wander the rural landscape to discover opportunities and threats unknown: friend and foe, dangerous wildlife, unexplored terrain, ominous buildings, and even the supernatural! Pick up a copy at your local game store to craft your own exciting story!

GREATER THAN GAMES HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN! This is crazy! @boardgames
I went through all of my boardgame designs last night and rated them on how publishable they are (based on components) in this current climate. I do have a few card games - though they do have some tokens / cubes. What are other designers doing to adjust?

I would never ever expect to record a vlog about the President of the US possibly cancelling our Gamefound campaign... Watch here: youtu.be/tsm0N8SZDpU?...
I was on the fence about attending Gen Con this year for other reasons, but this certainly pushes the decision against going. My current slew of prototypes (except a few) are component heavy so it would be challenging to pitch.
Thanks for the overview! As soon as I finished reading it the tariffs went to 104%.

A reminder that you can - and should - call your congressional reps about tariffs. They have the power to roll them back.
The founding fathers gave the power to set tariffs to Congress. Over the years, they have delegated much of that power to the president, but they can take it back.

If you don't want to pay 25% more for a car, tell your reps to end the tariff insanity.

We don't just have to take it.
I just got an email saying my old Twitter account was suspended. My crime - apparently changing my description to "Moved to BlueSky" which to them is an "inauthentic behavior".
