There are many problems with healthcare in this country, but not a one of them has ever been addressed by this current iteration of the GOP.

Hell, half the GOP-led states *still* haven't expanded Medicaid coverage. It's been 14 years since that option was available to them.

There is little I like about our healthcare system in general. But the idea that these guys campaign on 'turn someone away from the ER when they've been beaten by their partner or run over by a car just because they don't have papers,' is really grotesque.

My twin sister @irishalpern.bsky.social and I really care about healthcare after she was diagnosed with breast cancer this summer.

She is talking about her bills which ran to a half million dollars. Imagine if she didn't have coverage.
