Instead I'm forced to comply to societal rules that tell me what to wear, who to love, the strict binary and complete ban of anything LGBTQ. You are your family's burden until they marry you off and then you'll be expected to have children and start a family of your own and repeat the cycle

It's actually funny how much my lack of control over my own life bleeds into my own characters. There's always a theme of tyranny in my ocs. The desire for control.

Characters like Max and Malik who rule out of need to be in charge. The kind of rule I wish I could have over my own life

Ik I've been complaining about this stuff a lot lately but it's all hitting me one after the other. It feels so hopeless but I want to believe there's a better life for me, one that I chose and want to live. I don't want to be married off and lose my freedom

Once again in crippled by financial needs. I don't have the money to move out and all I can do is hope I'm able to get a stable job soon so I can finally save up to leave. I genuinely don't feel safe here anymore

It's always been a fear of mine that eventually my parents will force me to get married so I don't bring them shame

My mom just told me that her friend knows someone looking to get married and I should meet them. I'm scared. I have told my parents that I don't want to get married and that I enjoy what little freedom and independence that I have. I'm not giving it up.

Doing a very bleed build up focused build cuz I noticed that bleed damage really helps with bosses so got my silly thorny shield and my upgraded katana. For now I haven't found something better than my starter armor (which is crazy cuz I'm almost level 40 now lol)

a character profile for my new dnd character - Orpheleus Morrowgrove he's an older man, in his 50s to be more precise, has a thin and lanky build. he has short silver hair, small and slightly bushy sideburns, a bit of a silvery scruff around his chin, dark gray skin, purple eyes and small pointy ears. he's dressed in a fancy-esque classy outfit - a pair of golden-rimmed pince-nez, white shirt with belts around the lower bicep area and around the wrist, a ruffled jabot with a purple gem around the collar of said shirt, a silky burgundy vest that gets longer in the back and reaches down to the middle of his shins, long socks and some simple formal boots with funky spikes near the heel. one of the pant legs is shorter due to Orpheleus' correcting "brace" to help with his bad leg. his right arm is in a sling tied around his neck. there's a cane in his left hand - the head of the cane and the very tip at the bottom are silver in color, the head of the cane is designed to look like a wolf's head; the body of the cane is slick and has no patterns on it. text next to Orpheleus says: Orpheleus Morrowgrove male (he/him * ----- (scratched out text, cannot be read) * in his 50s * A sophisticated, gentlemanly and friendly fellow, and yet there is an air of mystery about him. He is a closed book even if he is welcoming and open to conversations. * Uses a cane since he has a bad leg (he does have a limp due to an injury he suffered in his twenties) * Recently hurt his arm so now it's all bandaged up and is in a sling. * Very knowledgeable about a handful of things but the variety of topics makes him come off as eccentric. * runs an old local library and seemingly made it his residence. * no matter how much you talk to him, you can never quite place your finger on what he's like. * lives in a mostly human community.
