Their business model is inflated by hype.
They misuse their power to make Next the default way of building React apps.
They basically only provide a convenience layer on top of AWS.
But as if these are not enough reasons yet not to use Vercel, their CEO added one more.

I’ve always held back from updating to a major OS version (both on phone and desktop) before the first minor version is out, and that seems to be even more relevant now.

In 25 years, every business school in the country will be doing case studies about how a long defunct company known as “Google” once had an unbeatable lock on online information retrieval and then started doing shit like this.

Wouldn’t it make more sense if Apple’’s Freeform and Notes were a single app? Note taking and scribbling and sketching are such close use cases, it’s baffling how poorly these two integrate.

Whenever I’m abroad, even in the EU, I’m reminded of Belgium’s customer-friendly law, stating that merchants must accept at least one electronic payment method. No minimum spend, no additional fees.

Been a fan of reclaim.ai lately. It does the scheduling really well and I love how all calendars and tasks come together in one place. Found that easiest way to interact with it is via @raycast.com extension though. Lots of potential for native app (both for desktop and phone), including widgets.

Did they temporarily rollback GPT-5 for ChatGPT Plus subscribers? Was playing around with it earlier, then I got all sorts of errors (confirmed by the OpenAI status page that something was off) and now I'm back to GPT-4o.
