Glorifying violence or harm violates Bluesky’s Community Guidelines. We review reports and take action on content that celebrates harm against anyone. Violence has no place in healthy public discourse, and we’re committed to fostering healthy, open conversations

SVG filters provide a basic lighting system you can sync with a little JavaScript and use in your web apps 💡

... not as powerful as MacOS implementation but pretty cool
This is exactly what I expected to find in Bluesky and I saw it as soon as I opened the app.
@davechen.bsky.social hey! In case you're not aware it seems like the last episode of the filmcast feed is pointing to an after dark episode instead of the Kraven the Hunter episode
The true differentiators are passion, taste and the ability to gauge impact

AI tools are enablers, but they're mainly enhancers

Passion drives you to keep at it

Taste lets you drive the craft, direct it towards quality

The ability to gauge impact guides you in selecting what matters most
Thanks for the details!
Is this true regardless of the Android version and device or mainly if you want things to be performant in less powerful/older Android devices/OS version?
The more I learn about what the DOJ wants Google to do the more I realize how stupid they are.

I know these don't fit the traditional definition of monopoly but the App Store and Play Store are the real problem here. Not Chrome and Google's search index.
updated display name and profile a few times. Did it help?
There's a cultural war already happening across the west.

I find what's happening across Europe, the US, Canada, etc. sad and worrisome.
Unfortunately Bluesky is not billionaire proof.

PDSs are the only partially decentralized part of the system but the vast majority of them are run by Bluesky anyway.

Bluesky is a for profit with fiduciary duty to its shareholders including VC firms.

It can likely be bought by a billionaire.
Will do and report back
Farcaster is an economy
@bsky.app - bug report:

I'm trying to add @helln0.bsky.social to a starter pack but your user search endpoint doesn't seem to return them since it also happens when @ mentioning them.

(Even as composing this post it said "no results", see attachment)
Folks are mainly here because they don't like the guy who made this possible.
I'm on Bluesky, Threads, X, Lens, Nostr, a Mastodon server and Farcaster.

I've been using Farcaster and X daily for years now and will continue to do so.

I might add Bluesky to my rotation. Not sure yet.

Lens, Nostr, Mastodon and Threads aren't for me.
Which parts of your React Native apps do you fall back to write in native code for performance reasons?
I'm just getting into React Native and Expo these couple of months.

By far what I like the most from using it is being able to push updates without going through app review.

That's really the biggest win.

Having a single codebase for both iOS and Android is nice but less important.
