Ya, but OBP doesn't tell you anything about the number of times you were intentionally walked vs. earned a walk. I do think that OBP is generally more useful than SP to evaluate a player in terms of success getting on base, but the fear of Ohtani is based on his slugging.

The new rules of late have improved baseball and made it more watchable IMO. Are you proposing a rule to ban the intentional walk? That's interesting. Maybe if the bases are empty or the walk doesn't move base-runners? It would lessen the strategy but so did the DH.
