Recreating EPCOT Center's Future World from 1982. To the world we dream about, and the world we live in now.

The DNA Chain.

Omnimax film recreation is complete.
Sondheim's Company is such a beautiful, wonderful show that is both stuck in the 70s yet ages flawlessly. Few shows are as jammed with all-time great songs.
I feel I'm going down the rabbithole of craziness with AI hatred the way Boomers do with Fox News.

Difference is I'm still pretty sure I'm right.
More Horizons Omnimax work: Space Shuttle, Space Station (modeled from scratch), and Landsat Photography.
Banana Peppers/pepperoncini, god no! Crushed Cherry Peppers or bust.
Recreating the Horizons Omnimax video piece by piece.
We test in Production.
In honor of spooky month, share a 4 word horror story that only someone in your profession would understand

I'll go first: Six page commercial lease.
I just don't think these videos even exist anymore. We've never seen a single frame since it closed, and no video camera could've captured it appropriately.
At this point, I think it's clear we're never getting the Universe of Energy source films.

Meaning I have two realistic options:
1. Use some sort of AI tool to generate the clips I otherwise will never be able to get

or

2. Never release UoE as it should be.

So... what would you do?
Especially because epcot already has one.

With a Strawberry Hill ceiling?? unexpected
Absolutely, I feel the last 2 scenes of the last Spaceship Earth reno actually hit this mark pretty well: The 70s mainframe room is an amped up version of what I'd actually expect it to be, while the garage hacker is the realistic but also romanticized version of that trope.
No I appreciate it - it's just an interesting design decision. Like, the 80s I remember was not whizbang nintendo neon futurism like is popular today, it was shaggy rust carpet and yellow wallpaper and ugly bathroom fixtures.
So which do you decide? In Ramsay's thing, they did neither I guess
I gotta ask though, is that a 60s pub, or is it what we think of the 60s being? Just like pop culture thinks the 20s was all flapper dresses and gatsby or the 80s was all vaporwave neon.

I'd imagine a 60s brit pub being grimy dark wood, smoky, and filled with war vets talking about the gerries
I feel great about myself when I see something like this. Apparently I don't need to beat myself up over the bad parts of my modeling if THIS is paid work
THANK YOU
This rendering is completely ruining my morning. I feel like that SNL sketch with Ryan Gosling and Papyrus
But they have posters from 1960s bands!
Yeah it seems to be more of the television-not-theme that Disney is all about these days, putting a recognizable character on the wall instead of actually theming it to that era.
1960s pub with a 1980s rendering Good Lord what is going on in there
NEWS: Gordon Ramsay and Earl of Sandwich are bringing a 1960s-themed British pub to Downtown Disney.

Horizons preview, scenes 7-9.

Sound on!
Horizons Urban Habitat nearing completion at last.
Added details to HOR16 - Desert Farm, including the satellite dish, printouts, lighting, plants, etc.
Disney is boosting this slop by reposting it.
Good to have Universe of Energy closer to completion.
I will do it! I will run their stupid YouTube account for them and guarantee it will do better
