Satoru was a collection of unexpected contradictions bundled into a person — just like his music, Suguru realised. He was beautiful always, but he sought out ugliness in his lyrics, in his composition, in his performance — and somehow he made it work. The notion that Satoru should limit himself by being less noisy, less energetic, less audacious, just less in every way? In spite of everything, Suguru found that nothing upset him more.

anyone has a right to opt out of unknown experiences. don't click a fic that isn't tagged how you need it to be to have a good time. but there is social and political value to allowing uncategorizeable art and life to exist, because categories are not naturalized and should not be. we made them up

to build a category of any sort is a generative, living act; a binary of is/isn't. some experiences will be so outside of that that even utilizing a framework through rejecting it will fail to capture a text accurately. some experiences will always carry risk of the unknown because of this

saying that tagging t/b is equivalent to librarians sorting by genre neglects that very fact that librarians are not sorting by t/b. all archiving is a subjective, editorial process, imposed by the archivist. definition and framework inflicted upon text do in fact change the experience of that text

i've forgotten #wipwednesday every week for weeks, so here's a super special kinktober wip i've been working on with a super special guest. hopefully this reveals absolutely nothing except the kink involved, but remember, this is a fushiglow fic so it isn't really about that is it <3 #jjk #satosugu

Staring down at him, Suguru looks incredulous. A little nervous, perhaps, with his brows pinched together like that. He looks like he doesn’t know how to feel, smile wavering even as his cheeks flush and his eyes darken, pupils blown wide with arousal.

Satoru shapes his voice into something softer. Soft but firm as he pats his thigh. Just enough to take the edge off when he gives his command one more time.

‘Over my knee, Suguru.’

For a moment, he wonders if Suguru is going to make him fight for it. Satoru’s gaze flickers to where the corner of his mouth twitches slightly and he feels his heart twinge something awful in his chest. Feels his throat seize with a strange desperation, something he doesn’t want to say getting caught on the way up.

Then Suguru softens, too. Without a word, he shuffles back on the futon, slipping off the sheets like silk to stand before him. In the low light of the temple compound after dark, he towers over Satoru like a king. Here, in this place Satoru only ever steals away to in the dead of night, Suguru is king — but now, he obeys someone else, smiling at Satoru as he first tugs his hair free of its constraints.

It falls around his shoulders like a curtain, darkness blacker than the darkness beyond the window, even glinting under the glow of the lamps. His expression is dangerously at ease as he rolls his shoulders, letting his already disheveled juban fall open. Even with his heart in his throat, Satoru can’t help his gaze falling to newly uncovered skin, stretched taut over a sculpted chest. The cotton slips down over Suguru’s arms — and that’s when Satoru sees them.
