All of this leads to my final statement. Kito used to be X's favorite but after an unknown event (I like to assume it was related to the same event that gave Yokubo the fully shut eye) he was permanently punished by petrification in his whole body except his tounge

With all of this its safe to assume that both Kito and Yokubo (I'm not going that deep into Yokubo I'm just brining him in because he's the only one showing this "Forced" detail) But as shown by Kito's "young" form he didn't always have the tounge, infact he WASNT EVEN A STATUE BACK THEN

This implies the fact that all of the other Guardians are capable (even if they frown upon it) are capable of removing parts of there bodies that would be "bothersome" meaning any details that are still there would be forced onto them by X like Yokubo's lazy eye and Kito's organic tounge

Saying "X had a favorite guardian" along with this its also been established that only part of Kito's body can feel is his tounge, and with Kito expressing this being "bothersome" along with X having full control over the guardians appearances along with how according to Kyofu
