On Saturday at 11:00 am, a 2 km-long, 25 m-high, and 150-200 m in width section detached off the Ismoil Somoni Glacier (Tajikistan) and slid down the gorge! 🧊🌊

Today, we rebuild, together, with almost €3 billion for recovery and reconstruction, including €1 billion in new funds.

When a chatbot gets something wrong, it’s not because it made an error. It’s because on that roll of the dice, it happened to string together a group of words that, when read by a human, represents something false. But it was working entirely as designed. Commentary by Petr Horále - Last night was incredible. I have just moved to Sweden, where I organize astrophotography workshop for a group, and this is the view of nature offered over Suotojärvi Lake. The comet C/2025 A6 Lemmon was seemingly swimming in bright Aurora Borealis. The comet was so bright that we could see it with our naked eyes, even very low over the horizon. Captured after 20:30 UTC, Used Nikon Z6III, Nikkor 135mm, f1.8, ISO 3200, 4s exposure foreground, 15x4s comet from tripod (stacked).
